3 Music Idea's Feedback

We pitched all three of our ideas to the class to gain some feedback and help on what they thought would be the best track for us to use.

Ellie Goulding ft Eric Hassle; Be mine
The feedback we received from the class was similar to the feedback we gave ourselves, we have no boy in our group so it would be difficult to film. The majority of the class questioned who we would use and we could not give an answer because of the problem with our group being only 3 girls. They also said that the lyrics are very deep and meaningful and the beat is quite dull, therefore it might be hard to keep the audience interested. This song is a typical romance song about a girl who does not get the boy she is in love with, so creating a music video based on a song that is so love cliché may be boring for the audience to watch as they can predict what is going to happen. We decided to not use this idea as is will be too original and everyone would know what to expect as soon as the song started playing.

DJ Sammy; Heaven
This is another slow pace song, which our class liked but they also thought the love theme was just like most of the music videos. They stated issues for this song the same as the issues for he Ellie Goulding- Be Mine track we chose. We have no boy in our group and the song is about love therefore it would be very hard to create a video with two people who fall in love if we have no boy in our group. Also the song is very slow and emotional, so the audience may get bored half way through and decide to turn it off, and our aim is to keep the audience engaged at all times. When pitching our songs to the class, we have to bare in mind their feedback as they are going to be the type of people that are going to watch our videos so if they did not like it, there is a high chance that the majority of our target audience are not going to like it either.

Ellie Goulding- You my everything
Differently from the past 2 song choices, our class liked our choice of song and liked the video we have in mind for this song. They said that the use of sparklers and sky lanterns is very different and they have not seen nothing like that before and it will look very effective on camera. They also said that it is good we have took on a challenge (the night time scene) because the use of lighting has to be taken into major consideration. They also liked the idea of contrasting two different styles together for the characters. When they are in the woods they are going to look very grungy, however when we swap to our lip syncing scenes, the actress is going to look very glamorous and very dressed up. This is our final idea, as we believe it is something different and is something we could become very creative with and it will be a all round success.
