A similar artist and websites

The main current star that we think is like Grace Starr is Katy B. She tackles songs about situations a lot of people don't talk about, things that are very personal to her and some explicit things. We are going for this sort of thing, however our star is younger than Katy B but will attract the same target audience due to the explicit situations and the nature of the songs and music videos. This is out unique selling point, as there is not a young star as young as Grace in the music industry that sings about and shows situations that teenagers get themselves into nowadays. For example, drugs and smoking. A lot of the females that are out there already have a wide target audience, from children as young as 8+ all the way up to women, e.g. Katy Perry. But we are just aiming for a older audience of about 16+ as some of the things shown in Grace's first music video relate to things only older teenagers experience or go through.

Another similar artist to 'Grace Starr' is Jess Glynne as she sings similar sort of songs to the one we are 'releasing'. With an electro pop sort of genre. She is also a very new artist and has just been released into the music industry and became a massive success.

For website inspiration we have looked at Ellie Goulding, Rhianna and Katy B

Here is some similar artists we want ours to be like, and we think their websites are very simple but very effective. Ellie Goulding is similar genre of music to what we our star 'Grace Starr' to be like. We have noticed that on this website there is a lot of notice bars that people can click on to go onto different pages of the website, similarly to Rhianna's. However, on Katy B's website there is only a few things you can click on, and this is what we want ours to be like simply because Grace is an upcoming star therefore we don't want to overwhelm the public that view the website with too much to click on as they may get put off. We are going to include a 'Press' page like Rhianna, so the public can look at how much our star is in the news and keep up with her latest stories! We are also going to include Merchandise on our artist's page, which will appeal to all of Grace's fans and make them purchase these things for when they go to her concerts. We are including tour dates on the 'Home' page of our website, so fans can just go on there and they will see them straight away. There is also going to be a 'Gallery' link, so fans can keep up with photos of Grace and see what she has been getting up to.
