Similar music videos that inspire me

This video is a similar genre of music to the Ellie Goulding track we have decided to make a music video for. This video also has very similar aspects that we want to corporate into our video. For example, there is several night time scenes with interesting lighting choices, and lots of slow motion shots included. The only thing not included in this video and what we want to include in ours is lip syncing. Also, this is a narrative based music video, but there is actually no narrative to it at all. The video has no purpose besides entertainment and does not tell a story to the audience, which is going to be like ours.

Another video that is similar genre to our Ellie Goulding track is Calvin Harris- Thinking About You. This video includes a lot of lip syncing, and we are including lip syncing in our music video. This video also includes a lot of club shots which include a variety of lighting choices, and this can inspire our choices when it comes to creating our own. They also include a lot of slow motion shots, which i have noticed in a lot of the genre of Electric/Dance music videos i have watched, which is why we are going to include slow motion shots on ours.

In our video we are thinking of using fireworks as a part of some shots, however this is not for definite. This is a music video we found where fireworks are used and we think they look very effective for a night time shoot.

Another idea we have is that some of the shots can be made by an actor/actress holding the camera and spinning around with lights on their face. So this can cause the audience to empathise with the actress spinning. I found this Ellie Goulding and Calvin Harris track that is created by the two holding the camera through out the video so it is an affect that they have filmed it themselves so it makes it feel more personal to the audience.
